At InturSports Travel Services we have started the summer accompanying Valeo FC, soccer academy from Boston, Massachusetts, in IberCup Estoril 2018 and IberCup Barcelona 2018 tournaments.
The first week of July, we travelled to the coast of Lisbon to participate in IberCup Estoril 2018’s tenth edition. Valeo FC participated in the tournament with two men’s teams, U10s and a U12s..
We started the week with three exciting days playing matches in the municipal districts of Estoril, Cascais, Oeiras and Carcavelos. The group stage of the tournament ended with the U10 team of Valeo FC qualifying for the quarterfinals. The rest of the stay was complemented with leisure activities on the coast such as a mini volleyball tournament or visits to places of tourist interest such as the city of Lisbon or the historical – cultural heritage of Sintra.
The following week we traveled to Lloret de Mar, Gerona, to participate in the IberCup Barcelona 2018 tournament in its third edition. On this occasion, Valeo FC participated in the tournament with 4 men’s teams in the following categories: U13, U14, U15 and U16. The teams played an outstanding group stage, all of them qualifying for the next round.
In addition to the participation in the tournament, family and friends who accompanied the players carried out complementary activities such as a guided tour of the FC Barcelona Camp Nou stadium, a trip to the city of Gerona and numerous activities on the beach of Lloret de Mar.
The players of the Valeo FC U16 team won all their matches. On Saturday, July 7, at the municipal stadium of Lloret de Mar, the IberCup Barcelona 2018 finals were played. The rival team, FC Infesta from Portugal scored a few minutes after the match began. However, Valeo FC was able to overcome the game and win with a final score of 3-1. It was without doubt a fantastic end to two weeks of intense competition.
